Mr. Fobes is a Lee Smart shareholder. He practices insurance defense litigation. His practice emphasizes are school district and governmental liability, employment law, premises liability, and trucking law.

Mr. Fobes graduated from the University of Washington in 1977 with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. He obtained his J.D. degree from the University of Washington Law School. Before attending law school, he served as a Naval officer.

He is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and Seattle- King County Bar Association Trial Litigation section. The Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory conferred a "BV" rating on Mr. Fobes.
