Nicole has focused her practice on insurance matters including first- and third-party coverage claims, bad faith defense, and UIM claims. Before attending law school, she worked as a paralegal at a creditors’ rights law firm in Seattle. While in law school Nicole clerked for a bankruptcy firm assisting clients with debt resolution matters.
Nicole’s experience includes these notable cases:
Craven v. Columbia Canyon LLC – Defense of freight transfer LLC in lawsuit regarding an independent contractor agreement. Prevailed on Motion for Summary Judgment as to various claims including breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, and negligence. Obtained case dismissal with prejudice. Subsequently prevailed on Motion for Attorney’s Fees.
Dinovi v. Wade – Defense of dentist in professional liability lawsuit. Prevailed on Motion for Summary Judgment showing that the Plaintiff did not support claims with the required expert opinions. Obtained a dismissal of the case with prejudice.
Washington Department of Health v. Runey – Represented veterinarian in a complaint asserted by owners of a former patient through the Washington Department of Health. Obtained case closure without disciplinary action and acknowledgement that the care rendered was within the standard of care.
