CLAIMS AGAINST DEBT COLLECTOR DISMISSED

Marc Rosenberg prevailed on a Rule 12(b)(6) motion in Calhoun v. Pierce County in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. Plaintiff sued the county and its collection agency alleging, among other things, that the debt collected upon was too old to pursue. Marc moved to dismiss all causes of action against the collection agency. The court agreed that the plaintiff had not stated a plausible claim in his Complaint, and dismissed all claims against the collection agency with prejudice.
